You are not getting inside of any door if this is in, even if the door is unlocked. Only thing is the door has to open inward

I have bipolar and severe insomnia, its been decades of struggle. I'm house sitting g and wanted to feel a little more safe so I tried this on a whim- where have you been all my life?!! Its super cheap and light metal with a plastic handle, how can it be secure? So easy to just put in the slot and then that door will NOT open! I have slept like the dead for 3 nights now, I cried seriously just from relief. Worked extremely well on a broken hotel door.
I was so glad I bought these locks. We arrived at our hotel room the night before the eclipse. No other rooms available within 100 miles... and our door was broken. The chain's sliding port was missing 2 of the 4 screws, and when my 5-year-old pulled on the door, the chain popped right off the other side of the door. I put this little lock on and it worked like a dream. I wouldn't have felt safe sleeping in that room without it. Peace of mind for an extremely reasonable price! We tried it on another hotel door with a different lock setup, and it worked perfectly there too.
